The seventh edition of Duplex festival takes place this weekend at Friboug’s Fri-Son. On Friday and Saturday there will be Pessimist, Flava D, Legowelt and more international as well as national guests playing in the bilingual city. Yours truly raffles some tickets for the festival. Bonne chance!

With additional activities to Friday and Saturday’s parties, Duplex tries to establish itself as a festival with its seventh edition. Already on Thursday a public discussion regarding nightlife economy and urban planning with Tresor co-founder Dimitri Hegemann takes place, while on Saturday workshops for audio- and video-productions are being presented. Fringe events aside, the festival focuses on the two nights at Fri-Son: While Friday emphasizes a whole range of UK sounds (Pessimist, Flava D, Solid Blake and Biel’s La Vie C’est Facile amongst others), Saturday opens up to classic rave bliss including DJs and live-acts like West-Cost boys Legowelt and Marsman as well as local youngsters from the Strecke crew (Ivory A Ivy and E&A Rüeger). This should be worth a little pilgrimage to Fribourg, n’est-ce pas?
