Pre-Listen: Manonmars “Vacate” (Young Echo, 2018)

Young Echo’s Jack Richardson aka Manonmars releases his self-titled debut LP with music by O$VMV$M (Amos Childs and Sam Barrett). We’re premiering the track “Vacate” exclusively!

Since almost a decade, the unique sound of Bristol-based collective Young Echo has been cherished by music enthusiasts way beyond the collective’s hometown. Only two releases appeared on their very own label though—Rider Shafique’s I-Dentity in 2016 and the self-titled Double-LP Young Echo in 2018. Vocalist and Y.E. member Manonmars dropped his self-titled debut on the collective’s imprint just now.

Manonmars has been around for quite some time. Ever since he appeared on the collective’s infamous radio show in 2012, his lyrics and rhymes merged with the obscure instrumental anthems of various Y.E. artists—such as Neek & Amo$ or O$VMV$M. He also appeared on mentioned double LP earlier this year.

Manonmars’ debut has been talk of the town in Bristol for some time, we heard—so eyes and ears had been peering for this LP. We’re excited to premiere “Vacate”, a dreamy grime track below:
