Laureijs—who co-runs Edipo Re—already flirted with the aesthetics of jungle’s successor on PE-006, a split tape released by zweikommasieben’s publisher Präsens Editionen. His version of “Aceton Wash” lets brutal drums slowly emerge from behind a noise curtain while constantly raising the pressure, leaving only a kick- and rimshot-structure in the end. Laureijs stays true to the original in terms of aggressiveness, while adding a proper big boom quality to it. We’re eagerly waiting for “Aceton Wash (Rolf Laureijs Edit)” to drop in Fabric’s Room One—and let you already have a taste of it below.
S S S S – Guilt will be released as a tape and digital on November 6th 2017 via Edipo Re.
